I am continually amazed by how much technology you can buy nowadays at very low cost.

1. Vantec NexStar MX Dual 3.5in SATA HDD Enclosure w/ RAID, USB2.0 / eSATA

This way you can have a portable 2TB mirror raid set that can plug into a high performance eSATA port OR a convenient USB 2.0 port.
